I married Ferdinand Haffer in 1868. Two daughters were born. We emigrated to America in the year 1892. I became faithful to the Lord Jesus and was baptized by Br. Schulz of the First Baptist Society of St. Joseph. Letter from Edith Benke Larson to Doris Milelli: Ferdinand Haffer (b. 1833) in Germany or Switzerland) married Henrietta Vilvock (b. 1835) in Alsace, Lorraine. Married in Germany. Had one child, Adeline (b. 1867). Emigrated to Russia. Ferdinand was a lieutenant in the Franco Prussian war. The Haffers adopted a girl, Bertha who married Fred Biastock. They had 12 children.
