| Autoren: | RUTH, K; (Co-Autor: Moritz, E. F) | Titel: | Cooperative Production as a New Paragon - Vision or Fiction? | Abstract: | The paper develops the idea of a new role model for production organization: cooperative production. Beginning with a tentative definition of cooperative production as an intra- and inter-organisational improvement of communication and cooperation, the article reasons about the feasibility of the concept of cooperation in a world dominated by competition. The article employs the industrial culture approach for an appropriate context-sensitive understanding of cooperative production in Eastern and Western countries (Japan and Germany in particular). The authors devise the ideas of self control/self organization and groupism as possible cornerstones of cooperative production – but strongly advise to consider the differing cultural and philosophical backgrounds of both concepts. \|The paper concludes with the suggestion of implementing cooperative production being far from a „best practice" world model but rather as an industrial cultural interpretation of an ideal type: a „corridor" of practical (industrial culturally moulded fantasy. | Herausgeber: | Brandt, D. | Buch/Zeitschriftname: | Proceedings of the 5th IFAC Symposium on Automated Systems Based on Human Skill - Joint Design of Technology and Organisation. | Verlag: | | Ort: | Berlin | Jahr: | 1995 | Jhrg.: | | BdNr.: | | HeftNr.: | | Seitenzahl: | | ISBN/ISSN: | | Preis: | 3,00 DM | BestellNr.
